Mission Statement
Tampa Adventist Academy uses the Bible as the foundation of learning and recognizes Christ as our Master Teacher.  The Tampa Adventist Academy family exists to show children Jesus, nurture their love for Him and others, teach them to think, and empower them to serve.
Accreditation
Tampa Adventist Academy is accredited by the Southern Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists that oversees the accreditation and curriculum of over 265 schools in the Southeastern United States.  TAA’s accreditation by Southern Union Conference acknowledges the fulfillment of requirements, provisions, and standards prescribed by The Accrediting Association of Seventh-day Adventist Schools, Colleges, and Universities, Inc.; The National Council for Private Schools Accreditation; and The Southern Association for Colleges and Schools (SACS).  TAA is also accredited by Florida Conference of Seventh-day Adventists which is an approved accrediting association of the Florida Association of Academic Non-public Schools (FAANS).  FANNS is an affiliate member of the Council for American Private Education (CAPE) and is recognized by the State of Florida.  The Southern Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists publishes the curriculum guidelines for TAA and class content and course offerings meet State of Florida requirements for graduation.

Purpose and Objectives
Tampa Adventist Academy was established to assist, within a Christian context, young people in their preparation for a life of good citizenship and responsibility.  Reverence for God and kindness to mankind are qualities that are encouraged through effective role modeling by parents and teachers and through classroom instruction and counsel.   The purpose of TAA is to provide educational opportunities in an environment in which spiritual commitment is modeled, encouraged, and is an expected outcome as the Word is studied and lived out within both the home and the school.  The Bible, accepted by TAA as God’s written Word, has a prominent role in the educational experience provided.  TAA has pledged to provide a Christ-centered, Bible directed curriculum, which will promote the fullest development of the student’s spiritual, physical, intellectual, and social abilities.

Our Philosophy
The Tampa Adventist Academy is operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church to provide a spiritually oriented education for children. A belief in the existence of the Creator God is fundamental in the philosophy of Seventh-day Adventist schools. We respect His divine authority and recognize His intervention in human affairs. We believe that true education develops the spiritual, mental, and physical powers of each student; preparing them for the joy of service in this life and for the higher joy of service in the life to come. To achieve this goal, we encourage each student to:
  • develop a personal relationship with God and his fellow men
  • master the basic academic skills
  • value labor, physical and mental, as the
  • blessing God intended
  • cultivate physical fitness, mental ability, and moral purity as the blessing God intended.

The Tampa Adventist Academy operated in harmony with the guidance and direction of the Office of Education, North American Division of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
